How does BabyWatch® work ?

BabyWatch® is a futuristic, sophisticated computer vision software application. The software is developed around two main subsystems.

The first subsystem is an extremely sensitive motion detection system. This subsystem is able to detect and analyze the motion produced by the baby’s breathing process.

The second subsystem detects and analyzes the baby’s patterns of movement and recognizes by itself if the baby is wide-awake or asleep.

BabyWatch® therefore knows with precision what the state of the baby is at any one given moment (awake/asleep/breathing regularly/apneas/stopped breathing etc…).

When a transition from one state to another occurs, BabyWatch® will warn the parents accordingly, depending on the system of warning that has been configured at startup of the software (audio or video or audio+video).

BabyWatch® also alerts the parents if it does not detect any movement, making it a powerful tool to monitor potentially dangerous situations (cot death etc…).
